Unità Operativa di Ricerca (UOR)
The name Solar Technology Group (STG) could suggest that this No-Profit Association is only
interested in solar technologies. But this is not true.
The natural evolution of STG, because of the enormous activity in
research carried out for many years on studies such as: Electromagnetic
fields, Biomedical Engineering (aids for handicapped persons),
Environment Engineering (bio Electrical activity of vegetable
substances), Technologies for didactic without considering a lot of PATENTS
regarding industrial invention some of which have NOTHING to do with
solar radiation, a new unit (Unità Operativa di Ricerca UOR) was
created as from 5th June 2003 called San Giacomo Research Center.
There is no doubt that we decided to drive our interests towards
Research Applied to Humanity Initiatives after we received a visit in
the summer of 2002 in our San Giacomo head office of volunteer Luciano.
That day Luciano, having returned from central Africa and ready to leave again, more or less
convinced me to start urgently to project a photovoltaic system for a Mission. And I started this
project immediately and with a lot of enthusiasm there on our
blackboard. I was much impressed by what our volunteer mentioned
passionately and with determination.
After that long chat other meetings followed but the only thing we had in our hands after that
exhilarating experience was a precious topographic maps still conserved
in our historic archives, showing a zone near 'Ndim where a
photovoltaic central unit was supposed to be created.
In fact, today not only one, but three systems supply three hospital Units: Maternity Hospital,
Nutritional and Dispensary Unit and a Mission “ Suore Figlie
Nostra Signora della Misericordia” operating in that country.
I want to emphasize that the merit to make our enthusiasm stand out is
principally due to Luciano. This has given rise to a new field :
Research & Development for Humanity Initiatives
and, consequently, to the formation of:

The year after, 2003, two doctors Giovanni (Vanni) and Tullio contacted us for the same reason and for the same African country, giving us the use a sizeable amount of money deriving from
collections for the project. We participated with the rest of the financial cover and two years of
work. This exciting and exceedingly gratifying journey still continues.
Who is interested, inside the space of our web pages about UOR, will
find apart a Technical Report and papers also other documents (films,
photos, travel log books) about PROGETTO AFRICA
with a particular reference to the three Humanitarian Scientific
Missions in Camerun and the Republic of Central Africa already
concluded, and also the collaboration with “Doctors without
frontiers” in Uganda and the request for aid for some different
projects in other countries like Madagascar, Congo, Ruanda, Burundi,
Burchiva Faso. Some other mention about our future projects is reported.
The Regulation of Solar Technology Group, ratified also by the Ordinary Assembly of Members of the 20th May 2007, sanctions in an unequivocal way its formal existence.
The Unità Operativa di Ricerca (UOR) has a director and, at
their personal request, members of the STG interested make part of it
and who make themselves available in an obvious way for the research
respecting the rules contained in the STATUTE and in the REGULATION
which is an integral part of it.

Il SolarTechnologyGroup è sempre disponibile per supporto
e assistenza:
- fattibilità e progetto di impianti fotovoltaici ed
eolici,
- allacciamenti alle linee elettriche degli impianti
suddetti,
- misure di conformità dei campi elettromagnetici,
- progetti elettronici nel campo della medicina
riabilitativa,
- organizzazione di videoconferenze,
- supporto nella compilazione di domande di brevetto,
- conferenze e lezioni.

Contatti, incontri
Il direttivo si riunisce il primo Venerdì di ogni mese
alle ore 20.30 per deliberare sulle attività in corso.
Tutti i soci possono frequentare senza limiti di orari i laboratori
di elettronica e metrologia.
La biblioteca è aperta alla cittadinanza tutte le mattine
esclusa la Domenica.
